Relocation - due to promotion, job transfer, immigration - or for any reason is a complex and intensive operation. It involves the combination of several "mini" projects. This includes selling of current home at the right price and the right time, travel arrangements for self and family, packing and shipment of personal and household effects, "meet and assist" at the point of arrival, purchase of home in the new location, school admissions, registration with the doctor, job for the spouse, etc. etc.

When the time comes to relocate, selling a home is one of the most important and expensive decisions for most people. Several factors including timing, finance, lawyers, movers, etc. are involved.

Very often the transferee finds it stressful to enter into the home selling and buying processes, because of the many unknowns. However, when you deal with a licensed and dedicated realtor who takes the time to ask you questions and listens to your individual situation, e.g. ability to sell and buy quickly, at the right price, etc. you will find that the home selling (and buying) process can be stress-free.

Further, if the organization and the employees/transferees have the opportunity to avail of a "One Stop Real Estate Service Centre", and also get the benefits of the Group Loyalty PlanÓ where each employee gets back around $2,000 and the following services could be looked after by a real estate brokerage, you would like to deal with that person: Correct?
  • Listing and selling of the home in the shortest possible time.
  • Purchase or rental of home/condo at the point of arrival - if required.
  • Assistance with lawyers.
  • Assistance with mortgage (details available separately).
  • Option to choose home inspection or one year home warranty.

Information sharing is the most important aspect of home selling (and buying). I provide my clients with the 2008 Home Buying and Selling Guide©. Throughout that publication the transferee and your clients/employees will be enlightened with some useful information about the home selling and buying processes.

When you authorize a reliable agent to act on your behalf to buy or sell your transferee's homes, the agent should provide them with detailed information with a customized plan of action specific to their individual needs. Very often, agents tend to take the easy way out and rush their clients into selling (and buying) without asking the right questions and without providing the proper information.
